The purpose of the guide is to provide easy to use information regarding United Kingdom merchant shipping regulations and administrative procedures. UK regulations and procedures may differ from those of other Flag Administrations that you may be familiar with, this guide will help you to comply with UK requirements. It should be noted that the legal requirements, forms, etc. of other Registers including Red Ensign Group (REG) registers will vary from those of the UK, this document is for the UK register only.
